What is Parkour?
 
(or the art of moving) or “Free Running” is a new (to America) french discipline in which participants run constantly along their terrain, attempting to negotiate any and all obstacles in the most efficient and fluid manner possible, clearing objects of all sizes and heights without breaking stride or reducing kinetic momentum. Parkour incorporates and drastically improves a vast range skills related to the movement of the human body. These include jumping, climbing, hanging, scaling, balancing, crawling, crossing, swinging, shimmying, sliding under, and vaulting over objects to move as quickly, powerfully, and efficiently over nearly any type of terrain
and/or obstacles in your path, transforming your once-boring surroundings into a world full of physical challenges waiting for you to overcome them.
